On January 19th and 20th the Markham Synchro Club had teams compete at the 1st routine competition of the 2019 Artistic Swimming season in Ontario at the Etobicoke Olympium Pool. A big congratulations to the 5 routines athletes & coaches that competed.
The 13-15 year division was a very competitive one with 24 teams, our 13-15 team of Kennedy, Emma, Sabine, Sofia, Dayna, Deirdra, Jaden & Samantha (coached by Monique & Jaeden) had a great first swim of the year, placing 17th. In duet, Deirda and Jaden (coached by Monique) teamed up to place 17th.
Our Junior duet (Xu-Teng) came back from a recent injury to place 17th in Tech & 15th in Free. Congratulations Alex & Emily (coached by Monique)!
Our Free Combo Team has had to make a lot of changes over the past few weeks, they really did a great job of coming together and working as a team, to have an impressive first swim and place 4th. Congratulations to our combo team swimmers Maia, Kelsi, Gaia, Amparo, Analisa, Sydney, Alex, Emily, Sofia, Jamie & Sevoya (coached by Heather).
