Regional League is a beginner competitive program that is an introduction to artistic swimming for swimmers.
This is an introduction to competitive artistic swimming. This program runs from October to May. Participants will be divided into teams that they will swim with for the season. Teams will be arranged based on a combination of age and ability level. Throughout the year participants will learn the basics of artistic swimming and create a routine for the competition. There will be two regional competitions for the teams to participate in.
This program will teach the athletes essential artistic swimming skills and they will work together to build a team routine. These athletes compete at regional competitions (with other younger swimmers) and will participate in the club water show.
This program will be held at Markham Centennial Pool.
2023-2024 Competitive Regional League (4 hrs/week)
Tuesday (2 hrs) & Saturday (2 hrs), starting Sept. 19, 2023
Session times are dependent on team placement.
No practice during Winter & March Breaks
Fee includes 1 competition swimsuit - parent to provide practice swimsuit, swim cap, nose clips and goggles
Prerequisites: | swim 25m (length of pool) and be comfortable in deep water |
